"Necessity is the mother of invention."
During the pandemic, while searching for creative ways to provide financial education and guidance without in-person meetings, a colleague recommended I start a podcast to share my experience and know-how. Thus, Great Points was born.
Why Financial Education Matters
Intelligence in the classroom or expertise in a professional field doesn't always translate to confidence in managing personal finances. This gap often stems from lack of interest, cultural influences, or inherited financial values. Financial competence is a skill that anyone can learn — but for many, it remains untapped.
The goal of this podcast is simple:
Improve your relationship with your money.
What You'll Find in Each Episode
With over 25 years of experience, the episodes are inspired by real client interactions and designed to teach you the principles of financial health. Short-Form episodes with a matter-of-fact delivery style, designed to educate and provide action items to improve your relationship with money.
Key Themes:
1. No One-Size-Fits-All
2. Proactive vs. Reactive
Being proactive may take some effort, but it pays off exponentially more than making reactive decisions. Spoiler alert: Most people operate on the reactionary side when it comes to finances.
3. It’s Okay to Make Mistakes
There's no "perfect score" when it comes to managing your money. The goal is to help you make informed decisions, learn from mistakes, and keep moving forward with confidence.
